Katherine George, M.Sc., M.A.

Master’s-level clinician

Originally from Pickering, Ontario, Katherine George relocated to Sudbury for her undergraduate studies in 2003. Since that time, she has spent nearly 25 years living and working across diverse communities in Northern Ontario and dedicating over a decade to leadership in Northern Ontario healthcare.

Katherine holds an undergraduate degree in Behavioural Neuroscience, a Master of Arts in Applied Psychology, and a Master of Science in Biology, all from Laurentian University. Katherine is currently working towards completing her post-Master’s hours for registration as a Psychological Associate with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO).

Katherine’s therapeutic approach is rooted in the principles of multiple perspectives (e.g. Two-Eyed Seeing, Collectivism), integrating evidence-based Western psychological practices with diverse perspectives, including Indigenous, Black, and other minority perspectives. Modalities primarily involve Culturally-Adapted Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CA-CBT) and positive psychology interventions, integrating a strengths-based framework with knowledge of neuroscience to provide comprehensive, culturally-congruent care.

Informed by extensive training and her own lived experiences, including caregiving for a medically complex child, Katherine intimately understands the intersectional barriers faced by those living in Northern Ontario.

Under the supervision of Dr. Price, Katherine provides in-person assessments in Sudbury and Sault Ste. Marie, along with virtual psychotherapy services across Ontario with adolescents and adults.
