Some of the moments I value most in my work are when someone begins to speak to themselves with the same kindness and understanding they so easily offer to others. We can be incredibly hard on ourselves, especially when things feel difficult or uncertain. I enjoy seeing someone become kinder and more accepting of themselves, while still working toward the changes they want to make.
When clients describe working with me, I hope they say they never felt like they had to have it all together. Some of the most meaningful conversations happen when we can be open about what’s really going on, even when it feels messy or complicated. I want clients to feel like there’s room for all of who they are, not just the parts that brought them to therapy.
